Of course, this was not on their list of things to do but to the kids credit, they rallied through and we had some good laughs. Truth be told, they really love their dad and would do anything for him.
Rachael and I connected about photographing her kids for a Father’s Day gift and we really wanted a few of her with them for her husband, Jess. Our kids went to the same elementary school but I hadn’t seen them for a long time. It was such a pleasure to reconnect and hear about what they were all doing and see who they had become.
These kids come from an active, adventuresome and fun family. They enjoy doing lots of things together: traveling, sports, hiking, eating out, exploring, skiing and water activities.
It was really a treat to see how they have grown into these amazingly unique individuals. What a great bunch of kids! No doubt born into a committed loving family.
Griffin goes to Stadium High School and enjoys his friends, Xbox, soccer and lacrosse. He is interested in history and science. Sensitive and affectionate, says his mom, he has a quiet confident strength.
Henry just finished up at Mason Middle School and will be joining his brother at Stadium this fall. He is interested in his friends, movies, soccer and anything social. Rachael said he is outgoing, active, funny, the jokester of the family, insightful, a scientist and a connector.
Margot also goes to Mason and loves her friends, soccer, Slime, crafts, and experimenting with beauty products. She had a really artistic henna tattoo on her wrist. It was so cool! Her mom says she is a little shy, funny, sensitive, introspective, hardworking, persistent, talented at sports and academics. She is a beauty, just like her mama.
They called it ‘Hep Cat Daddio’ where dad would chase them all around the house, capture them and then toss them up to land on the couch. It was fun to see how in all of them it brought back these easy smiles of fond childhood memories.
She told me Jess was totally surprised with the gift and said, “What is this and when did you do these? These are so beautiful.” I am always thankful for the chance to connect with others and share in a bit of family happiness. Hope you all enjoy the book we made and the images in your home for years to come. I loved spending time with you!! Thanks for inviting me in.
