I photographed the Lyons family a little over a year ago in the spring. The girls have grown so much and one of my favorite things was seeing how their personalities have come to life. This year we decided we would play at the beach and had an idea of what we wanted to capture: shots of the girls together, with mom, some with dad and then some all together. We kept it mellow and just let our time unfold as we followed the girls around.
This is one happy, close knit family. Ken is the “fun” dad, and Jen is the type A, mother of the year, organizer, like so many of us mamas. They are a joy to watch and photograph!!
Ellie is sweet, sensitive and full of wonder. She still loves her princesses. That hasn’t changed since last year.
Sadie is spunky, adventurous, playful and funny. She loves kangaroos and dolls but recently got a goat which has taken the top spot.
The girls both struck me equally, but in such different ways. Sadie was up and down the beach with her shovel, bucket, licorice, goat and sippy cup. Ellie, more animated with her mermaid waving in the air as she narrated words from her imagination into the wind. Such a joy to soak this all up!!
The beauty is that the time spent will create a memory you can share and keep. Life’s best moments are times we gather along the way that we can store in our treasure chests for later. Your session should be everything you want it to be.
Thanks Jen and Ken for allowing me to capture your presence in the lives of your girls. Precious. All of you!! xo julie
